
Phil Heath (full name Phillip Jerrod Heath) was born in 1979 in Seattle. You should already know the fact that his nickname is “The Gift” but what you might not know is the fact that his first experience with sports was not bodybuilding. He was a basketball player and was included in the University of Denver’s team. He eventually made the switch to professional bodybuilding in 2002. Phil Heath quickly gained a lot of popularity and this culminated with him winning in 2005 the NPC USA Championship. Melvin Anthony is a really well known bodybuilder. He was raised in California and first started his journey in bodybuilding while he was a teenager. When Melvin turned 18 his body was enough for him to get a good football scholarship in the powerback position. During his late college years a nasty knee injury forced him out of football. That was when he turned towards bodybuilding. 1993 saw Melvin Anthony competing in Fontana Ironman, where he won 3rd place. The first major competition was in 1995. That was when he won the NPC Palm Springs bodybuilding competition. As time passed he became a professional bodybuilder. In 2000 we saw him in the first IFBB show.
